Charity Nomination Tips and Tutorials

One of the most meaningful benefits of being a member is the ability to nominate a local nonprofit for consideration at our quarterly events. Help us grow our list of nominated charities in a way that reflects the full diversity of needs and missions across the Valley.

Maricopa County has more than 16,000 nonprofits across categories like arts, education, environment, youth development, and more. Your nomination can help us discover organizations doing incredible work that may otherwise go unseen.

In this video, we will walk you through how to identify or select a charity that you would like to nominate for 100+ Women Who Care Valley of the Sun (this includes our Ahwatukee, Scottsdale & East Valley sister groups). We’ve provided two worksheets (referenced in the video) to help you Select a Charity and Resources to Identify an Arizona Charity.

*Effective Q4 2026, 100+ Women Who Care Valley of the Sun introduced a one-year Charity Co-Presentation Pilot Program that provides members with the option to invite a charity representative to co-present with them. Please review the pilot program guidelines for details about the presentation format and requirements.

In this short video, we walk you through our chapter’s eligibility criteria. If a nonprofit does not meet our criteria, they will not be approved. So, before you dig in too deep, make sure you check these boxes first before nominating your charity.
